Our Lord said just before He ascended back to heaven, Go and make disciples. We believe that God equips, gifts, and provides for each local church so that they may be obedient to this command of going and making more disciples. Specfically, as it sinks into our hearts the magnitude of the grace that God has poured out upon us through Jesus, we want to go and make more worshipers who also praise God's amazing grace.
Grace Community Presbyterian is actively involved in coming alongside Toombs County's awesome community ministries, including the Mercy Ministries, Rachel's House Crisis Pregnancy Center, and Paul Anderson Youth Home through our regular financial and prayer support, as well as through giving of our time to volunteer. We also regularly open our facility to host events like the Rachel's House Annual Meeting and a Red Cross Blood Drive. Additionally, God has seen fit to provide Grace Community a church facility in the middle of a beautiful Lyons neighborhood, and we are in the process of asking ourselves how can we use this strategic location to minister in Word and deed to the people of the neighborhood surrounding our church.
From walking through the neighborhood around our church interceding for it in prayer to inviting the community to an Easter sunrise worship service to participating in various community events; we long to tell many people about the Gospel that we ourselves cherish so much. God has grealty blessed Grace Community Presbyterian Church that we might in turn be a blessing to Vidalia, Lyons, and as we grow increasingly established...to the ends of the earth!
